Would love to be able to add buttons on a deck. Maybe predesigned shapes that also have a hover effect and they can be used as external links.

This is already possible in the app. You can write text on a shape to use it as a button and hyperlink the text with a URL, slide number, or email. You can also hyperlink images.

+1 on that from me. Would be great functionality for both shapes and images to act as button. Both for external links like Vasilis mentions but also internal links (to slide number X).
